Heidi Montag: In the name of plastic surgery

What can I honestly say about Heidi Montag? A woman who has tottally transformed over the years, and no it is not because she grew up, she wore makeup or changed her hair! It is because she has had a great number of plastic surgeries. I can honestly say that she looks so much prettier nowdays that she used to look. BUT, the problem is one, she is not the same person any longer, she is rather the outcome of multiple and succesful surgeries. It makes me sad to see people who cannot see anything beautiful in them...in such cases, the problem is so much deeper than the physical appearance, this is why even after they surgically change their "insecurities" they do not manage to heal their confidence!

Apparently she has had the plastic sirgeries in two phases. According to experts, in the first phase she had a rhinoplasty and a breast augmentation. And in the second, as she admited in People's magazine, she had 10 plastic surgeries, all at once (brow lift, botox in forehead and frown area, nose job revision, fat injection in apples and lips, chin reduction, neck liposuction, ears, breast augmentation revision, liposuction on thighs etc and buttock augmentation). Wow, how much courage does it take to do that!! The three photos are from the fisrt phase and the rest are from the second.

Nicole Kidman: In the name of plastic surgery

This is my second post on celebrities who have undergone a number of plastic surgeries. Nicole Kidman is a beautiful woman in her fourties whose appearance has an obvious change through the years. As I said in my previous post, she looked pretty to begin with, in the process of having plastic surgeries, and still does today! But, my objection is one, why should a woman put herself under the knife repeatedly when she looks so pretty in the first place. I am aware that the world of entertainment is very harsh on women but sometimes one must know the limits. Going overboard with plastic surgeries, can often alter facial features making one less attractive and in my opinion this is now obvious on Nicole Kidman's face which has lost part of its freshness and sweetness. Finally, I would like to add that I have the feeling that those who have had too many surgeries at a young age, somehow get to look older -ironic- somewhere in the process......

Excess Oiliness

Has it ever happened to those of you with normal or combination skin, to have periods of time where you experience excessive oiliness especially in the T-zone? Well, this may be caused by a number of reasons like changes in your diet, hormone levels, weather conditions even from the cosmetics you use.

The good news are, that the situation is reversible! Here are some facial hygiene tips to minimize oily skin:

1. Wash your skin with plenty of hot water (dissolves skin oil better) and pure -non synthetic-soap. Trying to over dry your skin will often lead to the opposite results,  oilier skin than you started of in the first place!

2. Moisturize your skin with oil-free products, do not skip hydration.

3. Use oil-based products to cleanse your skin (they dissolve sebum).

4. Avoid cleansers or lotions that contain alcohol.

5. Use clarifying masks (clay or mud), one or two times a week.

Have in mind that your nutrition is as important as your facial hygiene. For this reason, try to:

1. Restrict sugar and salt.

2. Eat lots of green vegetables and fresh fruits.

3. Drink plenty of water to keep the skin hydrated and get rid ofyour toxins.

4. Include vitamin B2 in your diet. Try to eat whole grains, beans, nuts, black beans and whole rice.

5. Minimize the amount of fat in your diet.

6. Avoid soft drinks or alcoholic beverages.

Every time, I have excess oiliness, I often change my skincare routine. Instead of using my usual moisturizing cream throughout my whole face, I only use it on those areas that do not suffer from oiliness. In the T zone, I use one of the following:

1, Murad, Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15

2. Clinique, Pore Minimizer T-Zone Shine Control

3. Shiseido, moisturizing gel cream

4, Shiseido, mattifying stick

5. Kiehls, Rare Earth Pore Minimizing Lotion

6. Kiehls, Yerba Maté Tea Lotion

7. Avene, Cleanance Anti-Shine Regulating Lotion

8. Mario Badescu, Control Moisturizer For Oily Skin

9. Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer (SPF-17)

10. Normaderm, Pro Mat Non-stop matte effect hydrating care

Megan Fox: In the name of plastic surgery

Most if not all celebrities have undergone at least one plastic surgery during their carreer. Some only slightly alter one or more of their features, others try to stay young and some go overboard and end up being somebody else.... From now on, I will have a new category of posts (in the name of plastic surgery) in which I will show you the before and after pictures of various celebrities. The first celebrity that has undergone a great number of plastic surgeries for her age is Megan Fox. For those of you who thought Megan was all natural, guess again! She was a beautiful girl who has transformed into a stunning woman...I mean stunning!!!

I think in this final plastic surgery, she kind of went overboard. Too big cheekbones, make her look older!

So, as you can see... this wonderful woman has had quite a few plastic surgeries (nose, lips, cheekbones etc) done. It is therefore really bad for all of us, who are daily exposed to celebrities images, to get disappointed with our small flaws. After all they have had a bunch of work done......
Finally, I dont know If you have noticed, what changed for Meg over the years were her eyebrows, they became thicker and younger looking! Do you see how lovely they frame her eyes?? So, an advice! Try not to over pluck your eyebrows!!!

My sweet sister's blog

Hello my dear friends... I truly want to thank each and everyone of you for showing so much interest to my new beauty blog, I hope I am doing a decent job with that!!
I have been having long discussions with my sister about blogs and bloggers and have concluded that the blog world is as hard, if not harder than the real one! One has to work hard to get appreciated and often doesnt, just because she/he fails to follow a certain path. Well, I can tell you that... I will never become a "snob blogger" as my sister calls those who dont reply to cordon questions, never thank for kind comments and are too busy to leave comments or become a follower in other blogs unless it is for their best interest. Moreover, a blog is a personal space in which we can all share our personal likes and dislikes, wishes, problems, proposals, pieces of art.... everything.....
It is not school, where we have to prepare our next day's assignment. We are not forced to put up our blog posts. We do it cause we feel like it, this is why we do it good!
And one more thing... I hate to see people copying other's posts....it is horrible! Yes, we can get inspired by others' posts but not put up posts that are identical to others or sometimes just translated....Come ON!!!After all our blog, is our world and we can do whatever we feel like, not what others wants us to do.

For those of you who dont know, my sister has a blog which is soooo pretty and dreamy, I am sure unlike most of the blogs you have seen. She is, among others, a wonderful photographer with a great sense of style in all aspects of her life.
and who knows you might even win her giveaway which is an authentic pair of vintage sunglasses!!!
