Be cool with Rayban Wayfarers

The Ray-BanWayfarer sunglasses are trully a myth!
There is so much history behind these shades that for some reason whoever wears them, immediately becomes stylish! These are not just another pair of sunglasses, they are a legend ever since 1952 when they were first manufactured. They enjoyed early popularity in the 1950s and 1960s, faded by the 1970s, and came back strong in the 80s. Nowadays, once again they are enjoying a revival.

You wont buy the wayfarers to beautify your face, you wont buy them to hide your out of bed phase or a late night up.....and finally you wont buy them if you are after the aura of a sexy mysterious woman hiding behind her large black shades... But I can guarantee you that, you wont find many glasses offering you so much style and coolness!!!!

To be honest, I do not really recall the last time I saw someone wearing the wayfarers and said to myself “wow, they look so great in this face”. It is quite rare to find people that really suits them, both because of their face structure and the overall style. But, on the other hand they were not really designed for such purposes........

Audrey Hepburn, one of the best fashion and style icons in history chose a similar pair of sunglasses in the movie breakfast at Tiffany's, which to be accurate did not belong to Rayban but to Persol! If you do not already own a pair of Wayfarers than I would recommend investing in one, not only because they are one of the most enduring fashion icons of the 20th century, but because they are quite affordable and for some reason keep coming back to fashion every 20 years or so!

DIY ripped leggings

Ripped leggings can look amazing when styled properly. I love to combine them with plain Vneck tshirts, loose silk or plaid shirts shirts and finally with long knitwear. Like with leggings in general, it is wise not to pair them with short tops -unless going to the gym- because your outfit can become overwhelmingly sexy!

Good quality ripped leggings can often be quite pricy, but the good news are that it is very easy to make it yourself. All you need is a good quality pair of leggings -preferably the one with the leather effect - and a pair of scissors. Be careful, not to purchase the legging too tight because once it is ripped, chances are you may end up with pieces of your thigh squeezing outside the holes. You want a pair of leggings that gently hugs your body not sufficates it.
It can be worn during daytime or night time with a stylish pair of booties, ugg boots or even rainboots depending on the weather and a simple top of your choice. What I love about it, is that it is such a stylish piece of clothing that you do not need to overdress it or think twice about your accessories. In its case, less is more- try to go simple on the rest of the outfit and you will still end up looking smart!

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Wear your leggings and with a piece of white soap, draw horizontal lines on the places you would like to cut the rips.
2. Remove your leggings, and with a pair of scissors carefully follow the soap tracks, cutting horizontal lines. (Try not to create very large rips because they will grow larger once you wear it a couple of times.)
3. Wear the legging once again and check it out. It is better to create more rips in the process than making them all at once!
4. Let your imagination free... it is your piece of art. After all, there isn't a right or wrong way...there is just your very own way to go!!!

Gwyneth Paltrow: In the name of plastic surgery

Gwyneth Paltrow is trully what we would call an elegant woman, among those who carry this kind of delicate and fragile beauty. Everything about her, from the way she looks to the clothes she chooses to wear is classy, and class to me is among the most important attributes a woman should have. Unlike most celebrities, Gwyneth has not altered her facial characteristics -apart from her nose- this is why she still looks like the person we first saw in the movies some years ago. I must admit though that she does not seem to get any older as time goes by.... So, whetever she is doing- is definitely working! Once again, pay special attention to the importance of eyebrows - too thin eyebrows may often make us look older!

New Year's Eve Makeup

New year's Eve is probably the most glamorous day of the year. For this reason, try to step out of your usual makeup routine! Create a look you have always wanted to go for but wouldn't dare... After all, a little extra shine is allowed -if not needed- during Holidays.
And girls do not forget your favourite red lipstick!!! Trust me every woman looks good in red lipstick, all she needs to do is find just the right tone for her! In the following pictures you will see 5 different tones of red, all of which look amazing. Combine the red lip with a neutral eye, a 50's winged eye or even with a smoky eye look. It all depends on the look you want to achieve.....
I hope you all have the greatest time!
I wish you a Happy New Year!

The Silk blouse

A pretty silk blouse is trully a must have. I am obsessed with this piece of clothing because it can be worn in a multiple number of ways. Wear it with a mini skirt for a sexier look, with a leather pant for a styling look, with a pencil skirt for a business look, with a pair of shorts for an everyday look or even with some jeans for a casual chic look. Do not hesitate to spend more money on such items than you would normally do, because they can be worn with many different outfits. There are so many out there that it is confusing, and after a lot of research I narrowed down my list to the following blouses:

7 for all mankind, silk charmeuse military shirt

Friend of mine kitty shirt

Equipment 2 pockets silk shirt

Chelsey Flower roll up shirt

LA Made Corrina blouse

JOIE eleanor top

Zara silk shirt

My precious rainboots

Just came back home..It was really cold today and the sky had a dark gray color, as if it would rain. I wore my lovely rainboots, they are simple, made of a matte black rubber but they are very stylish. It is so funny, but almost every time I wear them I always receive tons of compliments on them. Nobody believes me when I tell them they were really cheap, probably less than 20 euro ($25). Today, I entered a store with my sister and this girl was tottally staring at my feet. She soon asked me about my rainboots and even proposed to buy them........(!)
Anyway, she inspired me to make today's post. I will share with you some of my favourite rainboots and hope to give you a small help if you are in the process of buying a pair! I believe that rainboots can give the perfect tone to a casual outfit, sometimes smart, others chic and often childish. They can be worn with jeans, shorts, sweat pants or even with cute romantic dresses. It is just a matter of style and mood!
Oh, and one last thing...basically for those living in warmer countries like Greece...Please avoid rainboots when there is no possibility of rain, when the sky is blue and there are no clouds anywhere to be seen. It  looks rediculous plus your feet are very likely to sweat -because of the rubber- under such weather conditions.
