Spring Lipsticks

Isn't it about time we moved on to brighter, happier, bolder lip colors? In case, you you dont want to go bold and bright, at least go shiny.... and I mean really shiny.

Here are my suggestions for this spring:
Shiseido shimmering rouge in rs 308 Iron Maiden (purple shade on the left)
Estee Lauder (new) pure color in Rasberry Pop (fuschia shade on the right)
Chanel Rouge Coco shine in 48 Evasion (pinky beige on the centre)

March Skincare Wishlist

Just a day later, I am back with a skincare wishlist....
These 5 products are definately must haves, and they come first in the list of priorities since no makeup looks good on poor skin, right?
(Going from left to right clockwise)
Just a few days ago I discovered the Pure Transformation Night Treatment by Bare Minerals. It is an overnight mineral treatment that claims to replenish the skin while you sleep. According to the company it dramatically reduces the appearance of pores, evens skintone, and improves skin's texture. What amazes me is that it comes in four different shades -which means that it provides some color and coverage- isn't that amazing. I mean dont we all want to look gorgeous when we wake up next to our beloved ones?????? YES!Oh, and one more thing, it won't come off on your pillow. The product is free of Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances and Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMOs and Triclosan.
Garnier's Caffeine eye roll-on is a very affordable product that actually works really well on dark circles while massaging the eye area. It hydrates this fine delicate area while it hides dark circles, acting as a light concealer.  Those of you in homeopathy, avoid this high caffeine consistency product!!!
Payot's Rides Relax is a wrinkle corrector with an amazing silky texture. After trying a sample for a few days I can tell you that this stuff really works....I only used it during night time between my eyebrows just because this past month -under a lot of stress- I had the tendency to frown in my sleep. In the morning, I noticed that my skin was very smooth in the particular area. After all the product is supposed to "relax skin micro-tensions caused by stress, stimulate collagen synthesis to correct the deepest wrinkles and promote the skin’s neuro-protection to relax and illuminate the complexion."
Attention, unlike the previous product, the Rodial Glamoxy snake serum pen is not affordable! Imagine paying more than 130 euros for 25 ml of product! But, girls it may well be worth it.... and I am saying maybe because I havent tried it on my skin. All celebrites love this botox pen which instantly lifts the face, freezes muscles and plumps fine lines and wrinkles, but I unfortunately dont have a personal opinion I can share with you. The only reason I would like to try this pen is because of the frowning problem in my sleep I mentioned previously!!!!
My final product is also from Rodial and it is the the Glam balm. I have heard soooooo many great things about it I find it hard to believe that it is no good. What I find very exciting about this product is its versatility. I mean you can use it in the face, lips, neck or even hands. I used a sample and found it to be very nourishing, although slightly oily for my skin texture. Once again the main reason for me wanting to get my hands on this product is the frowning during night time, although it worked wonders on both my dry and slightly chapped lips and hands! Additionally, everyone is saying how well it works as a pre and post flight moisture mask and how constant use can reduce fine lines and wrinkles and increase the lip volume!!!

March Cosmetics Wishlist

Hello sweeties....
Sorry for not posting lately but I have been so busy with work and studies...
After visiting a large beauty store in Greece as well as a MAC store, I fell in love with three products that I definately want to add to my collection!
Shiseido came out with the perfect refining foundation, which was mainly developed for normal to combination skins. According to the brand, the foundation blends away all imperfections (pores, acne scars and roughness), it is resistant to sebum and it lasts for fifteen hours. Oh, and did I mention that it is good for your skin? (with regular use it helps improve skins roughness). I cannot guarantee any of the above characteristics, but I can definately tell you that the foundation melted on to my skin -to the degree that I could not spot where I had tested it- leaving it super soft and quite matte. I personally adore Shiseido's foundations because they never make me break out, they dont feel heavy on the skin and they have a wonderful warm color variation !
My second choice, MAC's superslick liquid eyeliner comes as no surprise... When these eyeliners first came out with the feline collection, I bought most colors but the black. Now few months later, I am delighted to see it among the permanent collection, cause it is trully among the best liquid eyeliners out there! I love that it is sooo black, water resistant and very precise in application. Moreover, it dries quickly and it gives a wet-look result- enough with matte liners!!!!
Finally, YSL's  Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in Le Fuschia no7 is probably the prettiest fuschia I have ever seen. Unlike most hot pinks, this one has a warm tone to it that perfectly complements my skin tone. The color payoff is very intense, it has a satin finish and a great lasting power without drying the lips. (I can guarantee that cause I already own the Rose Bergamasque no6)

Best black eye khols

I am one of these girs that just love to line their waterline.....
It makes the eyes sooo mysterious and sexy without any effort! Have long been in the search of THE perfect black eye khol, the darkest, the most smooth and the one that has the best staying power.

Although I love all of my black eyepencils, some seem to stand out more than others. On the following swatches you will see what I mean.....

So, to conclude....
If you are after the blackest khol out there go for the Stila kajal in Onyx, the MAC Smolder or the Avon Supershock gel eyeliner in Black. If you are after the best smudging khol (excellent for smokey looks), go for the Korres soft eyeliner pencil in black (01) or the Stila kajal in Onyx, for a softer result go with the Une, Absolute Blacks Khol in K01. If you are after the most smudgeproof khol (excellent staying power) go for the Urban Decay glide on eye pencil in Zero or the Avon Supershock gel eyeliner in Black. If you are after the softest khol go for the Stila, the MAC Feline or the Avon one!

BIO Detox foundation by Bourjois

Some time ago I purchased the Bio Detox foundation – but since I had a terrible cold for a couple of weeks I didn’t have the chance to try it out any sooner and give you my feedback.
Girls, I am afraid I have some bad news regarding this product, although I was really excited about it.
Let me start by telling you that I have a relatively “easy” combination skin without much discolorations, large pores or break outs (unless my skin is on crisis) –and let me continue by saying that this product made “any” imperfections STAND OUT in a way I have never experienced before.
First of all, when I applied it over my usual day cream –as if these two were in bad terms- the foundation turned into small flakes dragging along my cream (horrible). So, I had to try it with another cream (which seemed to work better) and it was then I discovered that its consistency was soooooo thick it was a hassle just trying to apply it and smooth it out on my skin. And as soon as I did.....it rewarded me by magnifying  my pores..... and trust me I DON’T HAVE ANY!
Finally, after a lot of work -blending- the overall result was somewhat cakey!
Bad news,hah?
But since I would like to be fair to the product and the company, I must admit that I have only tried applying it using either my fingers or a sponge, so maybe this foundation requires a brush (?!) Will definately try using a couple of different brushes. Moreover, I have to tell you that the foundation’s color tone was almost identical to my skin color (quite rare) and trust me this is coming from a girl who has tried most -if not all- foundations. And the last but not the least is that it did not make my skin break out - on the contrary it was as if my skin was protected and breathing at the same time.

PS: Since this was my personal review, it does not mean that this product won't be the ideal foundation for someone else, so my suggestion is to always try a product on your skin before jumping on to any conclusions...

Hair Magic: The Pronto Colore Root Touch-Up & Highlighting Pen

This is such a wonderful hair gadget, if you don’t already own one then be sure to buy one!
It is a temporary hair color pen by Oscar Blandi that provides an instant hue renewal, perfect for those who want some highlights, want to get rid of their gray hair or those who want an instant root touch up.

Have gray hair?
This pen works amazingly on those who need a quick way to cover grey hair and keep roots looking flawless between hair color appointments.

Have dyed hair?
If you dye your hair –quite a different shade to your natural- you must know by now that when your hair grows out, the color can look awful. But knowing that hair can grow up to one cm per month it is impossible to keep up with re-growth through regular color touch-ups. Plus it is unhealthy for your hair!!!

Want some highlights or lowlights?
If you fall in the category of women who deny to sacrifice their natural haircolor but want some highlights, then this is the perfect product. Same stands for those of you who have colored hair but would like to add some temporary high or lowlights.

Pros
  • safe for pregnant women
  • commitment-free (washes out the next time you shampoo)
  • professional brush applicator
  • free of ammonia and peroxide)
  • fast drying
  • waterproof
  • portable, practical, and easy to apply
Cons
  • Are there any really?

Neon Matte Lips

Girls get ready for spring's hottest makeup trend: neon matte lips!
Lips so bright, they become the center of attention... For the ones hesitating to wear such a bold look, trust me you will get used to it...and after receiving a number of compliments - you will love it.
Think of it as a red lipstick...
You will have to choose the proper shade for you, will have to apply it super carefully- to retain a perfect lip shape and finally you will need to achieve the perfect face canvas. Remember no makeup looks pretty unless you have worked on your foundation.
Style it with a soft clean cut makeup for the mornings and glossy winged eyes for night time.
Oh, and have in mind that matte lipsticks need VERY hydrated lips, so unless your lips are baby smooth avoid it! Bright colours look awful on chapped lips.
If you are interested in bright colors than you definately should try these out:
  1. MAC Impassioned
  2. MAC Morange
  3. MAC Neon Orange
  4. MAC lady danger
  5. Shiseido perfect rouge PK417
  6. Illamasqua Over
  7. Illamasqua Blaze
  8. Lancome Posh Pink
  9. YSL Prokocative Pink
  10. NARS Schiap
  11. NARS Heat Wave
  12. Armani no57
Tip: Use your toothbrush to lightly scrub your lips and apply a very soothing lip balm like neutrogena's immediate repair lip balm.

Give your outfit a twist

Hosiery can nowadays be found in every possible color, texture and design. Although, I love unique items I would never really go overboard when it comes to hosiery....Black or some other dark color, opaque or not, plain or with delicate designs- usually is what fits my clothes best. I have the feeling that hosiery is outthere to complement an outfit, rather than act as the focal point.(okay, well I will make an exception - look at the one on the right) Nevertheless some hosiery manage to still be simple and give a twist to an outfit. What do you think of them?

They can all be found at http://www.asos.com/

Kim's makeup

This is a makeup inspiration post. Whether you like Kim Kardashian or not, you must admit that she usually wears gorgeous makeup. She is the "queen" of smokey eye looks and neutral lips, although she has chose various dramatic looks for photoshoots or events.

When a woman is proud of her louboutins

Olivia Wilde showing off her louboutins at the Golden Globe awards

Christian Louboutin pigalle 120 studded denim pumps

Christian Louboutin pigalle 120 polka dot pumps

Christian Louboutin pigalle 120 patent pumps

Now, honestly arent these the prettiest pointy toe pumps you have ever seen? I cant even compare them with other brands... their shape is so elegant and erotic at the same time....The question is which version to pick (?!) Thumbs up for this all time classic fashion (or should I say style) item.
